We were having an issue with our furnace. Modern sent out Calvin to see what our issue was. He was very polite and kept us updated on his arrival. When entering our home, he put on booties. He promptly found the issue and discussed my options with me. We made a plan and he called the warehouse to have the part he needed for the repair set aside. Calvin wasn't able to get the part installed that day but it wasn't that cold yet. He arranged for someone to come out and get the part installed. We had heat! Yay! A few days had passed and the furnace stopped working again. Calvin returned and was able to determine that the vent for the gas burners were not properly draining the water that would build up. He redid the exhaust plumbing and secured it so we wouldn't have this issue again. I was shocked when he pulled out a battery powered vacuum to clean up his mess, going farther than where he worked. I appreciate his hard work and for Modern doing all they can to make sure we can stay warm this winter.

The quality service that Brad rendered was TOP NOTCH!! I needed pipes replaced, 4 bathroom faucet, 1 kitchen faucet, and a toilet repaired. Brad worked 7 1/2 without stopping. He is kind, friendly, honest and understands plumbing better than any other plumber I have ever had. Brad is a three generation plumber he started plumbing with his grandpa and dad. He knows his stuff!!! I HIGHLY recommend Brad with any plumbing issues.

We have had Modern Plumbing come to our home a couple times, and we’ll continue to call them. They’ve installed an air conditioning unit and helped us with some HVAC issues. We’re always very pleased with the technicians who come to our home, because they work quickly, clean up after they’re done, and are always happy to answer all my questions. I also appreciate how real they are with me and they don’t waste my time trying to sell me things I wasn’t interested in to begin with like some of their competitors. 5 stars. I work around a lot of plumbing and heating companies in my line of work, and grew up plumbing, so I appreciate a great service company when I come across one. I just used Modern Plumbing & Heating last week to run some HVAC ducts for me, and they did a great job. The tech called before he showed up, and then showed up right on time. He did excellent, professional work. He left the work site as clean, or cleaner than he found it. Thanks guys and keep up the great work. I'd highly recommend Modern for any work that you need done. BTW... Modern also has a great reputation locally as being a company you can trust... there are a few others out there that I hear horror stories about!
Tech knew what he was doing and had good advice.
Calvin did a great job when he installed our fire place. He wanted to leave as small as a foot print as possible to our house. He found a way to have us see as little of a gas line as possible. He was very professional and did a great job. Today I had an issue with my thermostat that I was installing and he walked me through a do it myself fix over the phone and it worked, without charging me for a home visit. Will definitely use him and Modern Plumbing for all of our HVAC needs.

Zach and the other technician went above and beyond to install our new furnace they also redone some of our old duct work so our new furnace would run more efficient and last longer. Highly recommend Modern Plumbing and Heating!
Brad replaced my gross worn out disposal and put my drain house up correctly from my dishwasher to the disposal. He discovered leaky pipes replaced them, while showing me exactly what was going on under my sink before hand. He tried tightening them first but they still leaked. When he took off one of the main pipes to the sink it was full of gross, nasty food build up. It wasn't even on the side the disposal was on. Everything seems to be working as it is supposed to now, and I no longer have to worry about cross contamination from the disposal to the dishwasher.
Modern has helped with a couple of things. AC move, furnace repairs and maintenance. They've always been fantastic to work with and I highly recommend them.
Zack and Ruben were great. They were prompt, tackled our wish list, and were happy to answer all our questions. They provided good information and were courteous and unobtrusive as they worked. We will be happy to use them again and recommend Modern without hesitation!
HONEST. Knowledgeable & Experienced. Zach listened to everything I said & preformed a very comprehensive check on all I asked about. He found that another company did not switch our brand new H2O Heater to propane (like they said they did) which ultimately did irreparable damage to it..But it could have turned out MUCH worse than just having to purchase a new one..We are having Modern take care of all our needs and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Modern.
These guys were on time, very friendly ,very knowledgeable. They left the work space clean when they finished and did a great job showing us how to use the new furnace and what to expect from it .
Calvin was able to come by same day for a bid on a project. He was super helpful in going over all potential options and kindly listening to our ideas as well. Though im not sure if we will move forward with the project based off of what all is involved, if we do, it will be with Modern!
I'm on my 3rd or 4th review of Modern and I still love them. Zach was my most recent provider - he was great as always. They're always as quick as the job allows, patient with customer concerns/questions/requests, and excellent educators. The office staff has always been excellent to work with as well because they seem to be super on top of everything and very customer-oriented. Always happy to give them money!

I can’t say enough good things about Modern. We recently had them come out and install AC for us. They were on time, the two guys who came out were respectful kind and clean. I had Zach here to give an estimate for installing some new LED down lights to replace the ugly eyeball can lighting I have now.Edited to add a follow-up. This company was wonderful to work with for my lighting installation. Kurt and his apprentice came on time and spent literally all day here. The plan was for them to install 15 LED ceiling lights, install a replacement ceiling fan and remove the old ceiling fan and fluorescent fixture in my kitchen. They were both very patient, professional, and kind while we worked together to decide where it was best to locate the LED ceiling lights, both in my long living room and in my kitchen. The new lighting gives my home such a warm, cozy, and inviting feeling! It is as if I am outside on a summer day without the heat and UV damage to my skin.My only "issue" is that their ladders caused some scratches and dings in my old Pergo flooring. I would suggest they pad the ladder's feet or keep a floor protector for their next customer's home. We plan to eventually replace our flooring so this isn't a huge issue to us, but if our floors were new, it would have been a costly problem. Aside from that, the installation was professional and looks wonderful. I feel very happy with the resulting look, my experience in working with this company, and the cost to us. We will work with them again in the future when we are ready to get rid of another room's eyeball can lights with these LED lights and move them to a better location.
We have used Modern in our own home as well as our rental. They have always been on time and provided great service! Their communication is on point. We had an after hours emergency and they were quick to respond. We have worked with Calvin and Ruben and always been pleased. We have had AC installed, new water heater and furnace and now another water heater (different house). Wouldn't dream of using another company.

Modern was honest with me, reasonably priced and came back multiple times to adjust heat pumps to specific settings.
They were amazing! We needed to move our propane tank and get a new propane line stub-out installed and they went above and beyond to make sure it was done right and passed the inspection. Then they came back and installed a new flex line to our dryer. We worked with Zach and he always took the time to explain stuff and answer questions we had.

When someone took down a power pole last night, not only did the power go out, but it also caused our furnace to refuse to turn back on in the morning. Brad and Zach and Reuben did a great job on our utility room. From changing out our water heater to a tankless water heater, to adding a ton more pipes for water to run better, to adding a water softener. Zach did a bunch of work on our kind of messed up HVAC system, and fixed what he could, and will come back again to fix it some more. We have been impressed on every corner, working with these hard workers, and this amazing company! I wouldn’t trust my plumbing and HVAC with anyone else besides Modern Plumbing and Heating. Can’t say enough good things about them.

Brad at modern plumbing did a great job in taking out the crazy mess of copper pipes we had in our basement from previous homeowners and was able to install pex into all of water appliances in a neat and organized manner. We are super satisified with the new and improved design. We would be sure to use again when we change out out water softener.

We had Brad come out and bid a job to install a soft water system, sand filter, and whole house filter. He had three different models of water softeners to choose from, from a local manufacturer. We went with the mid-grade system. Brad did a great job on the install, showed us how to operate the system, and ensured that everything was working well before departing. This is true professionalism, and I commend Brad and the Modern Heating and Plumbing team for their quality service. Great job!

Calvin was excellent at troubleshooting and repairing our gas fireplace fan. He arrived right on time, was friendly, and very professional. He even volunteered to do a free carbon monoxide screening for my furnace and hot water heater. I will definitely be using Modern for my needs in the future.

Brad did a good job replacing toilets in my house. After installing and sealing the toilets, Brad spent extra time explaining how to take the lids off so the toilets can be cleaned.
